Here are the terms and conditions for trading in your device (“Trade-In Device(s)”) online at Vodafone.co.uk in return for a one-off payment (“Trade-In”). We recommend that you read these terms carefully before using the site and completing your trade-in request (“Trade-In Order”). These terms explain in full how to make sure that you get paid correctly for your Trade-In Device, and without undue delay.
On the checkout page, you will need to tick the box indicating that you accept these terms and conditions. If you don't wish to accept them, unfortunately you won’t be able to trade in your Trade-In Device with us.

The site and services are operated by Ingram Micro on our behalf. When using this site to sell your device, you will be forming a contract with Vodafone – you can find our full company information at the end of these terms.
In these terms, "consumer" means an individual who is not a business, not holding themselves out as a business nor selling devices in the course of a business. By placing a Trade-In Order you agree that:
If you are a consumer, these terms will not affect any rights you may have under any law and which we can't exclude.
Trade-In Devices must arrive at our warehouse within fourteen (14) days of the date of the quotation. If they arrive later we'll offer the lower of (i) the quote price or (ii) the then–current price on the site on the day the Trade-In Device(s) reach the warehouse, subject to the "Full Working Order" section below. For more detail on adjusted quotes, please see “Trade-In Device returns and adjusted quotes” below.
It's your responsibility to remove the SIM and any content or data from your Trade-In Device before sending it to us. These can contain private information, and may enable unauthorised use of mobile network services.
If you fail to remove your SIM or any data or content from your Trade-In Device, you agree that we're not responsible for any claims, losses or damages relating to the use of the SIM or any data or content arising before, or after, we receive the Trade-In Device(s) you've sent us.
Please don't forget, we won't return any SIM that we receive.
We're not responsible for protecting any information on the Trade-In Device and, once it has been sent to us, it's not possible for you to obtain any content from the Trade-In Device – whether stored on the Trade-In Device or memory card. We strongly recommend you back up such content before sending your Trade-In Device to us.
What is meant by Full Working Order?
We do accept accessories such as chargers and headsets but these do not increase the value of your Trade-In Order.
Ingram Micro working to our guidelines will decide if a Trade-In Device is in Full Working Order. If your Trade-In Device is assessed as not being in Full Working Order, the options open to you are set out in the "Device Returns and Adjusted Payments" section below.
Should you return either a prototype, or a different model than that quoted on your Trade-In Order, we will offer an amount for the returned model based on the price displayed on the site on the day the model or prototype is returned. Lost, blocked or stolen devices are devices that have been reported as either lost, blocked or stolen in any of the stolen asset registers maintained by CheckMEND which is operated by Recipero Limited at http://www.checkmend.com
Trade-In Devices which are lost, blocked or stolen will be dealt with in accordance with Home Office guidelines; Trade-In Devices will be held pending a claim from the Police, an insurance company or the registered owner and no amounts will be paid to the person who sent the Trade-In Devices to us.
Fake devices are counterfeit devices which are manufactured to resemble products made by another company in breach of copyright and intellectual property rights. We will make no payments to customers for fake Trade-In Devices.
We will inform the relevant authorities if there is any suspicion that there is a deliberate attempt to commit fraud. We may reclaim any money paid to you if it is discovered within three (3) months of the return of a Trade-In Device that the Trade-In Device has either been reported lost, blocked or stolen by the (seller of the Trade-In Device), or the Trade-In Device is discovered to be a fake Trade-In Device.
Vodafone Trade-In does not accept Apple iPhones and iPads that are activation locked via an iCloud account. If we receive, a Trade-In Device that has any security settings remaining on the Trade-In Device such as Find My iPhone we will provide you with a re-quote of £0.
We may refuse to pay for any Trade-In Devices which we believe are derived from Box Breaking. Our definition of Box Breaking is where a business or individual purchases a device with the intention of reselling the device and has no intention of using the device and SIM together as was the original intention of the mobile phone network whose SIM was provided with the device.
Once your Trade-In Devices(s) has been received and inspected, we will contact you either by email or text (depending on the contact details you have provided as part of your order) to confirm the amount we will offer for them (as adjusted, if necessary, by our decision in accordance these terms). We may adjust a quote if the Trade-In Device we receive differs from what you stated in your Trade-In Order. This can either be because it is a different make or model, is in a different condition or is blocked, lost or stolen. Details of the adjustments that you may receive are shown in the "Deductions" section.
If we have offered you a revised amount and you do not reply within three (3) days we will pay you the revised amount. We are not responsible if emails are not received because of reasons outside of our reasonable control, for example spam email or junk filters.
If you choose to decline the offer within the three (3) day period, you may ask us to return the Trade-In Device(s) to you. Please be aware, Trade-In Devices will not be returned after this three (3) day period.
Additional accessories that have been sent in with your Trade-In Devices which have not been requested by us cannot be returned.

During the checkout process, you'll be asked to select a payment method for your Trade-In Device(s). This payment method cannot be changed once the Trade-In Order has been placed or accepted by us.
We provide payments to you as follows:
Same day money transfers payments (BACS payment) – within three to five days of receipt and inspection of your Trade-In Device(s).
Please note that payments will only be made using the details given during the checkout process.
All valuations and payments include VAT unless otherwise stated.
We are not responsible for any loss or damage incurred to your Trade-In Device(s) from the time they leave you until they are received at the warehouse.
